Sofia Margarita Vergara Vergara is an Colombian actor who was born and raised in Barranquilla. Margarita Vergara Davila Vergara has a job as a domestic assistant. Her next step was to complete a pre-dentistry course. Sofia, however, was noticed at the beach by a professional photographer. The United States, her travel show Fuera de serie, which she hosted from 1995-98, made her a household name. She played her first role in the 2002 crime comedy Big Trouble. Her breakout role was Gloria Delgado-Pritchett in the American TV show Modern Family (2009). The actress won four Emmys from 2010-2013 in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. Sofia has a son named Manolo at home in Los Angeles.
